Kamyran's Eye

Manual for the pc version

You need to have java installed to run the pc version of Kamyran's Eye. Start by doubleclicking (if set up) or via the commandline: "java -jar keyepc.jar".

Start
Menue

Use the keypad or cursor keys to browse the menu.
Use ENTER or RETURN to select a menu entry.

Start A Game

First you might want to take a look at the Intro. Then start the game by selecting New Game. Choose among three levels of difficulty and two different characters. Now a unique random world will be created which may take a minute.
Kamyran
Fighting

To fight against enemies, move your character towards them by using the keypad or cursor keys. Use ENTER or RETURN to rest.

The bottom field shows your character's experience points (EP), state of health (Energy), Level and the amount of money you own (Gold).

dialogue
Communication

To talk to people, move your character towards them by using the keypad or cursor keys. A dialog box will appear.

Use the keypad or cursor keys to browse questions and answers in the dialog box.
Use ENTER or RETURN to select a question or an answer.

items
Items

To pick up an item, move your character onto it and press ENTER or RETURN. A dialog box will appear. Press ENTER or RETURN to use the item or to move it into your inventory.

If more items than one are lying on the ground, you can browse those by pressing ESC and selecting Environment.

inventory
Inventory

To access your inventory, press ESC and select Inventory.
Browse the inventory by using the keypad or cursor keys. Use ENTER or RETURN to select and use an item or to drop it.
Items that you wear and the weapon you have wielded are marked with a green spot. The keys h, j and k are shortcuts keys for inventory items.
map
Map

To access the map, use m or use ESC and select Map from the menu. Left side shows the sector, right side the world. To deactivate map view press m again.
Relevant places like cities, towers or caves in your sector or on the world map are marked in different colors. Regions you don't know yet are covered black on the world map.
save
Save/Load

To save a game, use ESC, select System - Save and choose one of the slots. Press ENTER or RETURN to save your game.

To load a game on start select Load Game in the start menu. To load a game during playing, use ESC, select System - Load and choose a game by using ENTER or RETURN.
